For many service professionals — barbers, therapists, personal trainers, clinic owners — managing appointments still means juggling phone calls, WhatsApp messages, and manual calendars. Existing booking platforms often come with high commissions, complex onboarding, or a disconnected experience that forces professionals to maintain separate tools for scheduling, payments, and their online presence.

BookrHub was born inside Plum as an internal product initiative. We saw an opportunity to build a platform that solves the entire problem in one place: real-time scheduling, online payment processing, team management, and a fully branded landing page — all within a single product. The goal was clear: let professionals focus on their work while the system handles the operational overhead.

The product was designed with simplicity as a guiding principle. A new user can set up their business profile, configure services and availability, and go live in under five minutes. No manuals, no onboarding calls — just a straightforward flow that gets professionals online quickly and confidently. We built 12+ industry-specific templates covering barbershops, hair salons, spas, nail salons, fitness studios, dental and medical clinics, pet groomers, and photographers, so each business starts with a foundation tailored to their context.

At its core, the scheduling engine handles real-time availability, automatic conflict prevention, and automated reminders via WhatsApp and email that reduce no-shows by up to 40%. For businesses with teams, the platform supports multi-staff scheduling with individual calendars and service assignments, keeping operations organized as the business grows.

Unlike many competitors that charge a percentage of each transaction, BookrHub processes payments with zero commission. This was a deliberate product decision: professionals keep 100% of what they earn. Payment processing integrates with Stripe for international markets and MercadoPago for LATAM, reflecting the platform's strong adoption across Argentina, Mexico, Chile, New Zealand, Australia, and the United States.

Beyond scheduling, BookrHub provides each business with a custom-branded landing page — a lightweight website optimized for SEO and mobile, with support for custom domains. This eliminates the need for a separate website builder and gives service professionals a cohesive online presence that works as both a discovery tool and a booking entry point.
